Ready, steady, roll….
Our new short film is launched!
What is the Slow Dog Movement?
Our long awaited ‘Slow Dog Movement’ short film is 4 minutes’ worth of beautiful images and our unique ‘sea-change’ philosophy. Many of you ask, ‘What is the Slow Dog Movement?’ and this film begins to answer your curiosity…
Have you ever enjoyed a lovely slow meander with your dog, one where you stop and sit and watch the world go by? Have you then, stopped, had a look around and noticed that many other dogs in your area or country are not enjoying their walks?
Are you already a Slow Dog Movement C.I.C. follower or member and wish there was a way to share the philosophy you love, with those near and dear to you? Or even with your community? Or the world?
We feel the same way! Our website and social media portray a world where dogs have choice, physical freedom, time, respect, a mutually beneficial relationship with their guardian, wear humane equipment and are allowed to go at their own pace. Our followers and members share their real slices of dog life for others to enjoy, emulate, and learn from.
We created a film where this way of being with dogs can be shared visually on a bigger scale! A short film is the perfect medium in which to express our passion. Now, you can share this film and let people know why you are passionate about dogs in this way…
We are ‘a worldwide community of dog lovers embracing SLOW.’ The Slow Dog Movement C.I.C. is a social enterprise based in the U.K. with three directors in the U.K. and one in Russia. We are a group of dog professionals, lifelong learners, educators, and advocates for dogs.
We want our film to reach the world! In order to reach that goal, we will be asking our followers and members to help us create subtitles in many languages so our philosophy can reach many cultures. Get in touch if you can help us!
We teamed up with Polychrome Studios in York to create a beautiful 4-minute film that exemplifies our movement.
We sincerely hope that you are moved, warmed, and motivated by this film - to SHARE it around the world, talk about it with your family, friends, neighbours, and complete strangers, and, perhaps, if you are not yet convinced, that it will influence you to just try adding #oneminuteofslow to your day with your dog and build from there.
Slowly yours,
The Slow Dog Movement Directors
